DUE TO THE POLITICAL SITUATION IN GOMA, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO RECRUIT VOLUTEERS TO THE VILLAGE PROJECT.

We appreciate how much people want to help and contribute. However we don’t operate with a “voluntourism” model for various reasons.

We have created a village where the extended family and official carers are local to the area, speak the language and have long term connections to the children. We do not believe it’s beneficial to introduce strangers into the children’s lives - as you wouldn’t with your own…

Not to mention that the management of a ground voluntary programme would take direct resources ( time and money) away from the village, and local businesses.

Occasionally we recruit organisational volunteers.
