GIVE2GOMA
In the wake of the volcanic eruption in May 2021 and increased internal conflicts, as many as 100,000 people had been living in IDP camps with no access to water sanitation or any steady access to food or medical assistance. Many having lost both their homes and businesses were totally reliant on a over stretched and under resourced local government who had been unable to relocate many of the residents.
All funds raised were used to build the village and support the children’s on-going costs including: schooling, medical expenses and food.
I heart Africa’s work revolves around community building, economic stimulation, a facility provision and developmental assistance to empower and encourage self-determination.
